If you want love but are good at keeping people out, then you’re in a prison of your own making...which is totally counterproductive in your journey to love.
But I get it.
Letting another person in can be scary. As soon as you put up your online profile or start going out to social events or go on a date, that familiar fear creeps in. And you find yourself canceling the date, deleting your profile, and getting your Netflix shows queued up. Before you know it, you’re back in the prison.
But there’s no warden. The door is actually open. The only force keeping you stuck behind your walls is your fear.
But anchor into this truth: “love is stronger than fear.” It only takes a decision to try something new.
